At the end of June we held our 2024 Summer Voices day camp program for students interested in exploring the world of singing and music! Since 2011, we’ve been offering this musical intensive annually. It’s the perfect opportunity for students to expand on their music education in the summer months and keep their skills sharp and growing for the school year ahead.

In our selection process, we look for candidates who are strong, confident, and talented individuals who are certain to make an impact in the world through their craft. Today, we are thrilled to announce Cecilia Soheily and Andrew Joyal as our 2024 Young Musicians Scholarship winners!

As we gear up to announce our 2024 scholarship winners, we’d like to take the opportunity to shine a spotlight on one of our many distinguished Alumni! Cuban-American mezzo-soprano Madelin Morales, one of our 2019 scholarship winners, went on to receive her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music in May 2023, where she also received an Arts Leadership Certificate and a business minor from the University of Rochester

Since the founding of Music in the Somerset Hills in 2010, we have been awarding the Young Musicians Scholarship to outstanding high school seniors that represent our organization’s values, proudly supporting the winners in their musical education.

As we reflect back on some of the musical milestones from our recent past that have shaped the present of our organization, foremost among these reflections is our triumphant 2023 gala. This past October, after many years of conceptualizing and planning, we recently realized one of our long-held dream of filling the great halls of the Blairsden Mansion with music and merriment!

As we round the corner into the Spring of 2024, we’re reflecting back on some of the recent musical milestones that have shaped our organization! Today, we’re remembering fondly a rockin’ and somewhat rainy afternoon last September 9, 2023 when we joined forces with our dear friends at The Ross Farm for our very own FARMFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL.

A performance by Chanticleer is always something special – twelve male voices dicing in harmony, playing magic games with our ears and our memories – a musical experience like no other! But a Chanticleer concert is never just a musical occasion. Their programs are carefully crafted, always full of meaning and mystery.

We are dedicated to bringing quality musical programs to our little corner of New Jersey, and of the many fine ensembles we have brought to this area, none have received a warmer welcome than Chanticleer when they last visited us in 2016!
