NPR’s From the Top — Live!
For more than twenty years, From The Top has been a popular radio program broadcast nationwide on National Public Radio. Music in the Somerset Hills had the honor of hosting two editions of From The Top, which were recorded at Morristown Presbyterian Church in front of a ‘live’ audience on Saturday, November 2. From The Top is about the best young musicians in this country, aged 8 to 18, and most of the featured musicians came from this part of the country. The host was the well-known pianist Peter Dugan, who has a flourishing career as a classical concert pianist as well as being in popular demands as both a jazz and pop artist. He is a distinguished member of the faculty of the Juilliard School in New York.
The level of talent displayed by these young musicians had to be seen and heard to be believed. We are particularly proud of Bernardsville High School's own Madrigals, who closed the show with a vocal performance that brought down the house.
Tune into NPR From the Top on 2/3 and 2/10 to hear them!
