Music in the Somerset Hills Department of Music Education is proud to offer outstanding musical opportunities for children entering grades 3-12 throughout the school year. All programs are offered in locations throughout the Somerset Hills. For more information, please click the program below in which you are interested.
Piano Master Class with Lillian Livingston – POSTPONED DUE TO HURRICANE SANDY!
Ages: 13-18
Date: Saturday, November 10, 2012 (NEW DATE TBD, either spring or next fall, both 2013)
Time: 3:00pm
Location: Bernards High School Performing Arts Center Stage, Bernardsville, NJ
Tuition and Fees: $15.00 Application fee + $50.00 Participant tuition; Master Class Attendee: $15.00 (Teaching Associates and their students receive a 10% discount)
Participant Information: Participation in the Master Class is limited to four students. If you or your student is interested in auditioning to be a Master Class participant, the student must fill out an online application and submit the application fee ($15.00 – includes admission to the Master Class if not selected to be a Master Class participant). If you are selected to be a participant, students will pay an additional $50.00. Audition recordings can be e-mailed to Matthew LaPine at Matthew@MusicSH.org, or audition CDs can be mailed to:

Your BEST Musical Theater Audition
Grades: 7-12
Date: Saturday, November 17, 2012
Time: 9:00am-12:00pm
Location: Bernards High School Choir Room
Tuition: $50.00 (Students of Teaching Associates receive a 10% discount)
Participant Information: Are you ready to land a great role? How can you best impress a panel of judges at an audition? Are you a great singer who is afraid to audition? What is the best audition song for me? Come learn all this and more at Music in the Somerset Hills’ first music theater audition workshop! Bring two solos that you have used in past auditions or would like to use in future auditions.

BREATHE: A YogaVoice Workshop with Mark Moliterno
Ages: 14-Adult
Date: Saturday, February 16, 2013
Time: 9:00am-12:00pm
Location: Greene Hall, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Gladstone, NJ
Tuition: $50.00 (Teaching Associates and their students receive a 10% discount)
Participant Information: Building on the success of last year’s YogaVoice Workshop, Mark Moliterno is back in the Somerset Hills bringing us this unique experience. This year’s workshop will focus on the breath. YogaVoice™ is a Self-Realization technology, developed to enable, encourage, and inspire authenticity in human expression. Through education, coaching, and mentoring, we endeavor to integrate the whole person in the act of truthful communication, whether that person is an artist working in her/his medium, or someone simply navigating the demands of daily life. Participants need no prior Yoga training in order to participate in this workshop. Participants should bring a yoga mat or towel.
